It is possible that your pet was running at large and was picked up by the Springtown Animal Control. Please call Lisa Horton at 817-220-4834 to determine if we have picked up your animal.

If Your Pet Has Been Picked Up by Animal Control...

You must provide a current certificate of rabies vaccination. If you do not have a current rabies vaccination certificate, you have two options:

  • Go to your vet, prepay for the rabies vaccination and present the receipt to Animal Control; or
  • Contact your vet and ask that he/she make a trip to the Animal Shelter to administer the vaccine.

Ordinance number 683 states as a condition of release of impoundment animals to owners or to persons adopting unclaimed animals, such animals shall be implanted with a computer readable tracking chip containing identifying information unless such animal has an existing implant. The cost of the microchip implant is $15.00.
