Public Notices

The City of Springtown publishes all public notices in the Official City Paper, on this website, and at City Hall. (Some notices do not require newspaper publication). If you believe there is a posting error, please contact City Hall.

Unless indicated otherwise below, public hearings are held in the Springtown City Hall.

Those wishing to speak FOR or AGAINST any of the items listed below are invited to attend the respective meetings. If you are unable to attend and have comments, you may send them to the City of Springtown and your input will be presented at the hearing.

You may view filed applications and proposed drawings, if applicable, at City Hall, Monday through Friday from 7:30 am until 4:30 pm.


General Public Notices

  • The City of Springtown will hold a public hearing on August 2, 2010 at 5:15 PM, at Springtown City Hall, 102 E. Second St. in regard to the submission of an application to the Texas Department of Rural Affairs for a Texas Community Development Block Grant Program (TxCDBG) grant. The purpose of this meeting is to allow citizens an opportunity to discuss the citizen particpation plan, the development of local housing and community development needs, the amount of TxCDBG funding available, all eligible TxCDBG activities, and the use of past TxCDBG funds. The City encourages citizens to participate in the development of this TxCDBG application and to make their views known at this public hearing. Citizens unable to attend this meeting may submit their views and proposals to City of Springtown, Post Office Box 444, Springtown, Texas 76082. Persons with disabilities that wish to attend this meeting should contact the City Hall to arrange for assistance. Individuals who require auxillary aids or services for this meeting should contact the City Hall at least two days before the meeting so that appropriate arrangements can be made.
  • On August 5, 2010 at 6:30 PM the City of Springtown Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing and consider making a recommendation to City Council regarding amending Sections 18.2 and 19.2 of the Springtown Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance by adding as a Special Use Permit a storage building on lots of 1/2 acre or more without any other structures on such lot. On August 26, 2010 at 6:30 PM the City Council will hold a public hearing and consider the Planning and Zoning Commission's recommendation on the same item. Both meetings will take place in the Council Chambers at City Hall, located at 102 E. 2nd Street.
