This page lists some of the actions the City has taken to improve the quality of life in the Community.
Infrastructure Improvements
Last year the City of Springtown began working on improving its infrastructure at the Water Treatment Plant, Raw Water Line, Waste Water Treatment Plant and Streets. The funding of these projects was made possible by the issuance of Certificates of Obligations.
Street Improvements
Below are pictures of the new bridge over Walnut Creek.
Raw Water Line Replacement
The City entered into a contract last fall with Saber Development to replace its Raw Water Line from the lake intake to its Water Treatment Plant located on Peden Road. Saber has completed the installation of the Raw Water Line.

Water Treatment Plant & Waste Water Treatment Plant Projects
In February of this year City Council voted to enter into contracts with Mela Contruction, Inc. for both the Water Treatment Plant & Waste Water Treatment Plant Projects. Both projects are currently underway with the Water Treatment Plant completion slated for February 2010 and the Waste Water Treatment Plant in March 2010.

Below are pictures of work being done at the Waste Water Treatment Plant
Below are pictures of the new Trident system being brought in on tractor trailers, unloaded by a crane and then contractor's working to install them at the Water Treatment Plant on March 15, 2010. These new filter's will treat up to 1,000,000 gallons of water per day.
Park Improvements
The Parks Department has been working hard to maintain and improve the cities beautiful park. Currently they are working on installing the outfield fence of the softball field. The posts have been set and concreted in, the top rail has been set in place and fencing will be installed soon. The entry ways to the Park at the south entrance and at the Skateboard Park entrance have been installed. Below are pictures of both entrances:
The city purchased a mobile comfort station that will be used at public events.
